BEHIND THE MODELS: MEET THE FAMILIES
For Mother’s Day and beyond, we celebrate the moms and mom-figures behind all the kids who love Oeuf. And today, we’re featuring the parents behind our Spring/Summer ’22 photoshoot!
On our photoshoot sets, our goal is to create a fun, empowering experience for our child models, and we especially love when we can take family portraits to send as gifts.
From our seasonal studio shoot in Brooklyn last winter, here are some of the wonderful families we got to work with.

What family memory always makes you laugh?
Hattie said a memory that makes her laugh is her and her sisters jumping in the pool on her birthday with all of their clothes still on :)
How was your experience with the Oeuf photoshoot?
Our experience during the Oeuf photo shoot was that of joy and gratitude! The mix of colors and textures and the designs are unique child-size pieces of art.
What's your favorite style from the SS22 collection?
Our current favorite piece is the flouncy bodysuit! We own it in two prints. It has amazing twirl factor.

What family memory always makes you laugh?
When Gemma was 3, her dad took her and River to the laundromat. I was so proud of him for taking them on an errand so I could relax a little. About an hour after they left, I got a call from him that seemed like an accidental dial. I could hear multiple people yelling in the background, “Gemma, come on. Come on. Oh no, she’s stuck! Climb out of there!" I tried calling back a few times and couldn’t get him on the line so I started running down to the laundromat. When I got there he was holding her and she had a very, very grumpy look on her face. Her dad showed me a picture of Gemma inside the laundromat Route 66 claw machine that was filled with Sesame Street stuffies. Apparently her brother held up the hatch door and Gemma crawled up the chute where the toys came out. And the reason that she was grumpy — everyone made her crawl out before she could get all the toys.
What's your favorite style from our SS22 collection?
My favorite style is the smocked set in Gardenia. Of course I'm also partial to knit shorts. I mean, come on, knit shorts. Timeless basics like these are hard to find.

What family memory always makes you laugh?
We laugh now at the silly fears and worries we had when we learned our son would be born with Down syndrome. He is truly the best thing that has ever happened to our family!
Do you have any tips for families venturing into the world of child modeling?
Don’t expect everything to go smoothly all the time, especially when working with babies and toddlers. Just have fun with it, whatever mood they are in!
What's your favorite style from our SS22 collection?
I love all the colors and fabrics in the SS22 collection, but the knit sets and sweaters are my favorite!

How was your experience with the Oeuf photoshoot?
Cleo’s favorite shoots are ones with other kids on-set, and she made some sweet new friends during the shoot. They even got together at one point to sing to a timid toddler while she was feeling bashful on-set. (See the moment on our Instagram!)
Our family has long admired Oeuf for their quality designs and work with artisans, and Cleo currently sleeps in the Oeuf Perch Loft bed. So we arrived at the shoot familiar with the brand and excited for Cleo to be a part of an upcoming campaign.
What's your favorite style from the SS22 collection?
On launch day, I couldn’t resist ordering the Tiered Dress and the Flouncy Bodysuit in the flower prints. I adore the flower prints and color palette this season, in every iteration.

Just stay cool.
